Since 1998 ALTECH UEC has been at the forefront of the set top box industry in Australia.

ALTECH UEC is a well-established and long-standing supplier of SET TOP BOXES to the Australian Broadcast industry and as such enjoys a strong relationship with many of the key operators, distributors and technology providers. Products already supplied into the industry have been customised to meet each specific hardware and software requirements and already proven ALTECH UEC’s dedication to the Australian industry.

ALTECH UEC has developed a number of different set top box solutions that will be appropriate for the Australian analogue to digital migration including basic zapper type products through to interactive devices, and Personal Video Recorders.
Cost driven value engineering is an ongoing process at ALTECH UEC with its clients ultimately benefiting from any savings realised by improvements in design, process or purchasing. Similarly the quest for improved quality, performance and reliability as measured by field return statistics is an ongoing process that continues well after development of the product. Should any enhancements to software be made after the product is delivered, such enhancements will be made available online.
ALTECH UEC, through its logistics division, Global Decoder Logistics (GDL), provides logistics, maintenance, upgrade, repair and refurbishment services to the Pay TV industry. Our new role as logistics and service partner has extended our local presence to the point that ALTECH UEC has all of the fundamentals in place to manage the distribution and after sales requirements of both ALTECH UEC and third party products.
